, (20 DEC 1877 - 04 MAY 1951) He established the Kepler Circle (Keplerzirkel) in Hamburg, on March 13, 1915. He invited
Alfred Witte to attend and present his new ideas and methods. Gradually, he became Witte's student, worked with him and became one of the pioneers. The second half of the Transneptunians were discovered and calculated by him. His nautical background had been good training for
precision and patience in applied mathematics. Also, it was he who coined the name ”Hamburger Schule”. |
